As President of Lakeside Cabinets & Woodworking, Troy Bednarz wears many hats—but his primary focus is always on elevating the experience for both coworkers and clients. Since purchasing the company in 2004, when it was a four-person team operating out of a 2,300-square-foot building, Troy has led Lakeside through four major expansions and helped build a team that feels like family. One of his proudest achievements is watching that Lakeside family grow—both professionally and personally—as employees start families of their own.

Though his career began in automotive repair, Troy found his passion in creating a business that brings people joy through craftsmanship and design. He combines a hands-on approach with strategic thinking, constantly looking for ways to improve processes and invest in tools that make his team’s work more efficient and fulfilling.

Outside of work, Troy channels his energy into fast cars and the great outdoors. He’s a drag racing enthusiast, currently driving his fifth race car and holding the title of fastest door car in Minnesota. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, building, fixing, and promoting races throughout the Upper Midwest.
